Filip Paluchowski is a German-Polish conductor currently serving as Chorus Master at Konzert und Theater St.Gallen, where he also conducts the St.Gallen Symphony Orchestra in select performances.
Equally adept with symphonic, operatic, and contemporary repertoire, Filip has worked with prominent ensembles such as the ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna, Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich (David Zinman Masterclass), Remix Ensemble Casa da Música, and the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, among others. His extensive experience spans major European stages, including as assistant to the Chief Conductor at Munich’s Gärtnerplatztheater and at Staatsoperette Dresden.
A graduate of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, Filip has been mentored by renowned conductors such as Paavo and Neeme Järvi, Daniele Gatti, and Christoph Eschenbach. He was also awarded a scholarship at the prestigious Accademia Chigiana. Filip previously served as Principal Conductor and Artistic Director of the University Orchestra Dresden, where he led both a Chamber Philharmonic and Symphony Orchestra.
In addition to his conducting, Filip has nurtured the next generation of musicians as a lecturer at the College of Music in Dresden, where he conducted the Junge Sinfonieorchester Dresden. He continues his commitment to youth development conducting the Jugendsinfonieorchester St. Gallen.
