BIO

The German-Polish conductor Filip Paluchowski received the highest distinction at 'Das Kritische Orchester', a project lead by the first concertmaster of the Staatskapelle Berlin, Lothar Strauß.

His previous orchestral highlights include the ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna, Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich (9th International Conducting Masterclass with David Zinman), the Symphonic Orchestra of the Rzeszów Philharmonic, the Webern Symphonic Orchestra, the Remix Ensemble Casa da Música as well as reinvitations to the Nürnberger Symphoniker and the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra.

This year Filip worked as an assistant conductor at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich for the production of Le nozze di Figaro. During this production he received an immediate re-invitation as répétiteur and assistant to the Chief Conductor for the same year. In 2022 he worked as 2nd conductor at the Musical Frühling in Gmunden. In 2021 he was a lecturer at the College of Music in Dresden and in this position he conducted the Junge Sinfonieorchester Dresden. He also served as an assistant conductor at the Staatsoperette in Dresden in 2019/20. 

Immediately after completing his conducting studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, he became the principal conductor and artistic director of the University Orchestra Dresden in 2015, which consists of a Chamber Philharmonic and Symphony Orchestra.

Filip was taught and attended master classes by Paavo and Neeme Järvi, Daniele Gatti, Bertrand de Billy, Nicolás Pasquet, Clark Rundell and Christoph Eschenbach. Furthermore, he received a scholarship at the prestigious Accademia Chigiana.
